- Luke McMillin, Rob MacCachren claim overall title
- Marks 33 overall Baja 1000 wins on BFGoodrich Tires
- Eight of Top 10 overall classes won on BFG tires
ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico, Dec. 1, 2022 — BFGoodrich® Tires now holds 33 overall SCORE Baja 1000 wins as Luke McMillin and Rob MacCachren teamed up to win the 55th edition of the SCORE International Baja 1000.
Out of 276 starters, the two crossed the finish line early Saturday, winning the overall and Trophy Truck® titles. This was McMillin’s third Baja 1000 win, and it was the second time McMillin and MacCachren teamed up. This was MacCachren’s sixth SCORE Baja 1000 win. With this, MacCachren now holds the record for most SCORE Baja 1000 wins in a 4-wheel vehicle with six wins.
The international event was the season finale of the four-race 2022 SCORE World Desert Championship.

BFGoodrich Racing first competed in 1976 with two entries in the SCORE Baja 1000. After competing for several years, the first overall victory came in 1979 at the SCORE Mexicali 250. Bob Gordon took the first overall victory in one of the famous Blazers, and Gordon followed up with another overall victory in 1980 SCORE Baja 500.
After competing for 11 years, BFGoodrich Racing first overall SCORE Baja 1000 victory came in 1986 with Mark McMillin on second-generation Radial All-Terrain T/A tires. It was the first of what would become a 20-year streak of overall Baja 1000 wins.
