GREENVILLE, S.C., Mar. 8, 2022BFGoodrich® Tires looks to continue its winning streak at the 2022 Mint 400, starting in Primm, Nevada, on March 11 and 12.

Known as “The Great American Off-Road Race,” the Mint 400 is the oldest off-road race in the United States. The four days of festivals and races boast an impressive history of participants. Located in the foothills of Las Vegas, more than 400 athletes will compete on a grueling 400-mile racecourse with over 50 classes of racing during the weekend.

BFGoodrich Tires will be the title sponsor and aim for its 10th consecutive overall win at the Mint 400. Rob MacCachren will be driving on BFGoodrich® Baja T/A® KR3 tires and looking to defend his 2021 title against 25 other Unlimited Truck entries.

Storylines for the 2022 Mint 400:

Going for 10 in a row

In what has been described as a win for sportsmanship and a win for off-road racing, Rob MacCachren and son Cayden came away victorious at the 2021 Mint 400 in December. Rob MacCachren and fellow BFGoodrich racer Luke McMillin each showed class and grace after getting tangled up near the finish, and their embrace on stage will be remembered for a long time. Rob MacCachren looks to build his trophy case with a third victory at the Mint 400, while making it 10 in a row for BFGoodrich.  18” BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR3 on Full Display

The new 18” Baja T/A® KR3 will be featured on Fremont Street during contingency, and on display in the Mint 400 vendor area at the race. It features a new 18” seat wheel diameter to allow extra suspension and brake clearance. This allows upfitting of larger front brake packages for enhanced braking with the brand-new horsepower. Additionally, the shorter sidewall offers improved steering response, braking and overall handling, while featuring the latest race-winning casing and tread compounds.

Tested in the deserts of Baja California, Mexico, and Southwest region of the U.S. by race-winning drivers, the 40x12.50R18 Baja T/A KR3 raises the bar for the most successful brand in desert racing history. For more information, visit the BFGoodrich Racing website.
